Yoga should be enjoyable, accessible and welcoming.
Yoga is not about right and wrong and doesn't look the same for everyone.
Yoga is not just physical exercise.
Our Yoga sessions are light hearted, welcoming and relaxed. I aim for everyone to leave feeling refreshed, happy and calm. I use music and essential oils in a subtle way and demonstrate and explain everything really clearly. If I use any sanskrit names for the poses I always use the commonly used English name as well.
Each session is meticulously planned and researched. There is a theme to each class and I aim to give participants the opportunity to practise all the elements of the 8 limbs of yoga.
I offer adaptations and extensions for the physical element of the session, and always include breath practise and meditation, and finish with a relaxation. I think it's important for everyone to have a basic understanding of the philosophy behind the many aspects of yoga such as the different breath practices.
Everyone is welcome and the classes are suitable for all. Any age, body type, sex, level of ability and confidence. You don't need to be flexible to do yoga with me, you just need to want to develop your feeling of comfort in your own body. Anything we do will be simply presented and explained.
